I’ve never been one for puzzles. I never have enjoyed putting them together. Never. I think the one time I did do a puzzle was at a party for a prize. Even though I’ve done them, I never really enjoyed it. But there is an interesting parallel between my life and puzzles. Yes, me and puzzles.

My life is a puzzle. One piece goes here and another here. Pretty soon the picture or design on the puzzle becomes clear. You could say that each piece of the puzzle is a different thing that happens in my life. One piece could be my high school or college graduation, another could be my wedding. When they all fit together in God’s plan, the design becomes evident.

As I go through life, the pieces start to fit together. Looking back I can see a certain design. Even thought I did ballet for quite a while, the “puzzle” doesn’t quite anymore fit for me to become a ballerina (like I ever planned on becoming on in the first place).

This is the way I look at it. God puts together the puzzle. He can see the entire design while putting it together. He knows everything – and I don’t (even thought I want to). Sometimes we want to know when certain things will happen in our lives…and we can’t. We need to trust God to fit all the pieces together and in the end, we’ll have a beautiful design.
